N’Golo Kante’s future at Chelsea is now very much up in the air as he approaches the end of his contract, and the general feeling is that he will not be at the club next season.

Kante has proposals from Saudi Arabia and namely Al Ittihad, who are confident of securing the signing of the French midfielder on a free transfer.

Chelsea have doubts over Kante’s ability to stay fit, and are unwilling to offer him a new deal as thing stand.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Al Ittihad are now confident of getting the green light from N’Golo Kante’s camp to sign him on a free transfer.

The overall deal is expected to cost around €100million, and that will include image rights, commercial deals and a creative investment portfoilio.

Kante could be one of many players making the switch to the Saudi League this summer, with Karim Benzema also joining Al Ittihad and Lionel Messi being heavily linked with a move to Al Hilal.

Chelsea had plans to offer Kante a new deal but they changed when he picked up a new injury just weeks after returning from his previous one. The club have not offered him a new one since, and new talks have not begun to do so.

Al Ittihad are confident they will sign Kante and are waiting on the green light from the players camp in order for the deal to be moved forward.
