Manchester United are set for a mass clear out this summer with a large number of players set to depart Old Trafford. This includes senior first team cuts as well as squad players and some young talents to make way for new signings.

One player who is allowed to leave United this summer and is reportedly up for sale is young winger Anthony Elanga. The Swedish international stepped up to the plate under Ralf Rangnick but his quality has declined since his emergence.

Elanga should be commemorated by United fans if he does leave this summer. The young talent quite simply sacrificed his development to make sure that the team didn’t suffer more than they did under the German caretaker manager.

According to a new report from the ever reliable German reporter Florian Plettenberg; “Talks with RB Leipzig took place for Anthony Elanga, but it’s not advanced. Many other clubs have inquired about him too – he’s on the market.”

Elanga deserves the chance to shine for another club by playing regular first team football. Somewhere like Germany would be a great place for Elanga to shine again an find his form ahead of a bright future.
