The CEO of Inter Milan, Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed Manchester United’s interest in goalkeeper Andre Onana in the last few minutes. United have been linked to Onana in recent days as speculation over David De Gea’s future looms large.

Onana is the main target for United and it’s not surprise due to his previous relationship with Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag at Ajax.

David De Gea’s contract at Manchester United expires at midnight tonight and although there has been no official confirmation from Manchester United there is a feeling that the Spaniard has played his final game at the club as of now. Discussions however are said to be ongoing.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed Manchester United’s interest in goalkeeper Andre Onana. The club are said to be expecting a bid from Manchester United in the coming days, which they will consider before making a final decision.

United are looking for a complete change after a long period with David De Gea in goal, and a string of poor performances from the Spaniard in recent months have likely sealed his faith at the club despite picking up the individual award of winning the Premier League Golden Glove.

Inter Milan are said to be looking for around €50million for Onana, who they are willing to sell due to the current financial situation going on at the club at the moment. United are expected to make a bid in the coming days, with Di Marzio reporting the bid could come as early as tonight. That is unlikely at the moment however.

United are still assessing their options in terms of De Gea, but if they do launch a bid for Andre Onana it will be quite clear they are open to allow the club legend to move on this summer. More to come as it follows.
