Manchester United are looking to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana and they are now preparing an offer for the goalkeeper. United are expected to bid for Onana in the coming days, as the David De Gea situation still looms large over the club.

De Gea’s contract expires tonight at United and the club have announced the situation remains open despite speculation suggesting the Spaniard was completely gone from United. He will enjoy his wedding this week and the club will speak to him next week when he returns.

Andre Onana is United’s expected replacement for De Gea, and they are preparing their first bid for the goalkeeper now.

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla of Dello Sport in Italy, Manchester United are now preparing a €46million + €5-6million in add-ons bid for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Inter Milan are currently looking for around €50million as a base fee, but with the clubs very close together in terms of a valuation it’s very likely a compromise could be reached very easily. Inter are open to selling Onana as they need to raise some funds, and United are very interested.

The CEO of Inter Milan Giuseppe Marotta announced today that United had interest in the keeper, and that the club are expecting a bid in the coming days from United. United will likely try and sign Onana before they decide whether to get rid of David De Gea.

Onana will allow United to build from the back in a way they will not be able to under De Gea, and it’s something that Erik ten Hag has found very important in the past with his football teams. Onana was a large part of the Dutch managers success at Ajax due to his ball playing abilities.

A bid is now expected from United, but it remains to be seen whether they go that extra yard and make the offer.
