Atalanta have rejected a bid from Manchester United for Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund. The bid was sent today by United, but it was quickly brushed aside by the Italian club. Atalanta are demanding more for Hojlund.
United need a striker this summer and Hojlund is one of the best available options on the market. The Red’s struggled last season without a striker, and Erik ten Hag is hoping the Danish forward can solve the issues.
Atalanta rejected the bid as they are demanding a bit more money from United.
As reported by Cor Sport in Italy, Atalanta have rejected a €35million bid from Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund. They want closer to €45million for his signature.
United are working under a tight restraint this summer due to FFP, and Hojlund is within the price range of the club. The Danish forward is one of the most highly rated forwards around, and United are well informed of his qualities.
A huge positive for United is the fact that Hojlund wants to join. The Dane is a United fan, and has expressed his desire to join United during talks with the club.
United must try and sign Hojlund and Andre Onana with the remaining funds left in their budget. The Red’s are currently without a goalkeeper after David De Gea’s contract expired last night.
Atalanta now demand €45million from United, and it’s up to the Red’s to decide whether he is worth that type of money.
