Manchester United could include Amad Diallo in a deal for Rasmus Hojlund. Diallo could be sent on loan to Atalanta due to their massive asking price.
United currently deem the fee Atalanta are looking to get for Hojlund unreasonable, and are working on ways to lower it. Amad Diallo going on loan to the Italian club may be enough to do that.
Diallo signed for United from Atalanta in 2021 for £37.2million.
United Could Loan Amad Diallo To Atalanta:
As reported by Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports News, United are exploring including Amad Diallo in a deal for Rasmus Hojlund. The deal would be a loan as United see big things for Diallo in the future.
Atalanta are asking for a huge fee for Rasmus Hojlund and United as of now will not pay it. Hojlund wants the move and has agreed personal terms, but the clubs are yet to strike an agreement.
Sending Amad Diallo on loan to the club he signed from could soften their stance and allow United to sign Hojlund for a cheaper fee. United are working on a strict budget this summer and can’t afford to go over it.
Hojlund is desperate for the move as he is a United fan but will not force it. United are working on a deal for Andre Onana at the moment and once that’s done will pivot their attention.
Diallo’s performances for Sunderland last season caught the eye as they just missed out on promotion. Erik ten Hag will take a look at the player in pre-season before making a final decision to include him in the deal.
