Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. Following the departure of veteran goalkeeper David De Gea, the Red Devils look likely to secure the signature of the talented shot stopper.
Onana has worked under Erik Ten Hag at Ajax and will seemingly reunite with his former boss at Old Trafford. United have agreed personal terms with Onana some weeks ago and now must agree on the final offer to submit to the Serie A giants.
Following positive talks between the clubs it is expected that United will conclude the deal with Inter this week. Ten Hag wants his new goalkeeper to join his side on their pre season tour.
Some reports in Italy have suggested that Onana is now searching for an apartment in Manchester ahead of his move to the club. Sports Media Set, an Italian outlet also report that United could submit their final offer for Onana TODAY.
They report; “This morning the Andre Onana’s agents met with Manchester United to define the details of his contract, which is €7m a year (including bonuses) for five years. Inter are waiting for United’s offer which should be submitted this afternoon.”
As soon as United wrap up a deal for Onana they can turn their attention to recruiting a striker. United are in contact with Atalanta over the signing of Ramsus Hojlund.
