Liverpool have been one of the busiest sides in the summer transfer window following the signing of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Reds are still in the market to sign at least one more midfielder with reports claiming Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia is on the club’s radar, however, the Saints’ £50m valuation could an issue for the former Premier League champions.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are working with a limited budget and have already spent £95m on two signings following the exit of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner after their contracts expired, however, they still need to revamp the engine room.

One player who is likely to leave Anfield is skipper Jordan Henderson. He is attracting interest from Al-Ettifaq, the Saudi Pro League side which is currently managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, according to L’Equipe.

Gerrard, who played with Henderson during his time at the club is hoping to convince the 33-year-old to join him in Saudi Arabia. The England midfielder has only two years left on his current contract with Liverpool and a move away from Anfield is said to be at an ‘advanced stage’.

Henderson has been a great servant to the club, having joined Klopp’s outfit in 2010 from Sunderland. He has helped the club win the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, and Super Cup.

The midfielder also played a key role as the Merseysiders clinched the Carabao Cup, Emirates FA Cup, and Community Shield earlier last season.

He is the oldest midfielder among all Liverpool midfielders and could most likely be offloaded this summer to make room for a young and talented midfielder.
