Manchester United have been active in the market so far and the anticipation is that they will sign two more players after Andre Onana. The targets are a striker, and possibly a second midfielder and a defender. Who they sign will depend on sales.

Mason Mount is a shoe in to start for United next season on the left side of a midfield three, and Andre Onana will no doubt be the starting goalkeeper.

How will United line up if they sign their striker of choice.

Manchester United Line-Up 23/24:

GK: Andre Onana.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bisakka.

CB: Raphael Varane & Lisandro Martinez.

LB: Luke Shaw.

CM: Casemiro, Mount & Fernandes.

RW: Antony.

LW: Rashford.

ST: Hojlund.

Can They Challenge For A Title?

It’s unlikely Manchester United will challenge next season, but they will be a much better outfit than last year. Andre Onana’s signing is significant in terms of Erik ten Hag’s vision for the team. That will be evident very early on in the new season.

The prediction for United this season is third place again. More depth is needed for the team to truly challenge for the title. Arsenal and Manchester City are likely to challenge again, and Liverpool will be back throwing their weight around too.

Which Signing Is The Most Important:

Andre Onana

The goalkeeper. United struggled in games last season with David De Gea due to their inability to keep the ball. That lead to easy games becoming tough, especially away from home. The 2-2 draw away at Spurs is a huge example of that.

Andre Onana will allow the team to build from the back and keep possession at times when they need to. A calming presence at the back United haven’t had for a number of years. The signing will be transformative.

Rasmus Hojlund if the Red’s land him will be a close second. The lack of a clinical goal scorer last season did cost United, and despite his age Hojlund knows exactly where the net is.
