The words final stages and final details have been used way too many times in this Andre Onana deal, but this time it’s for real. The deal is now inches away from being done, with both clubs working on the add-ons structure as we speak.
A deal for Onana is expected to now be fully agreed by the end of tonight. As of right now the two clubs are locked in negotiations. The agreement is anticipated by tonight. A Here We Go will follow soon after.
Barring any sort of crumble in negotiations now, Manchester United will sign Andre Onana.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United and Inter Milan are now in the final stages of a deal for Andre Onana. The add-ons structure is all that’s left between the two clubs for an agreement.
United have been working on the deal for around two weeks at this stage, with David De Gea leaving on a free during that period. The clubs are set on the overall fee, which will be €50million+€5million in add-ons. The structure of the add-ons is now being discussed between the clubs.
Erik ten Hag has wanted Andre Onana since the window began. The Inter keeper was the Dutch managers number one choice in net to succeed De Gea.
Inter are keen to get a deal done tonight so they can focus on signing two new goalkeepers. Yann Sommer and Anatoliy Trubin are very likely to sign for Inter, with deals expected to move fast once Onana is done.
The goalkeeper trained for Inter today and posted pictures on his Instagram, but that does not mean the deal is in jeopardy. Despite some tension and doubt earlier in the week both sides have been optimistic a deal would eventually be completed.
