West Ham United have had interest in Harry Maguire for some time and they are now prepared to make a move. After the sale of Declan Rice the funds are there to improve the squad, and the Hammer’s believe Maguire would be a good addition.

Manchester United are open to the sale of Maguire this summer. The player would prefer top stay and fight for his place under Erik ten Hag. He will only be sold if a fee of around £35-40million arrives at their doors.

West Ham are likely to attempt to sign Maguire in the coming weeks.

West Ham Target Maguire:

As reported by Mike McGrath of the Telegraph, West Ham are targeting a move for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire. The Hammer’s are keen to move on players after they sold Declan Rice to Arsenal for £105million.

Maguire and his team-mate Scott McTominay have been of interest to West Ham for some time. David Moyes is a fan of both, and Maguire has been linked to the club for the last few months.

As of now West Ham are likely to explore the conditions of a permanent deal but would be more open to a loan deal. The London club are willing to test Maguire’s willingness to try and win back a place at United.

Many feel now is the right time for Maguire to move on but the player disagrees. The England defender has been training 3 times a day for three weeks to get ready for the new season, in a bid to win back his starting spot.

The arrival of Andre Onana may help Harry Maguire in terms of having a sweeper keeper behind him. A deal for Onana is now close, and that may be in the back of Maguire’s mind.

West Ham’s interest is real, and the next few weeks will be interesting in their pursuit of Maguire.
