Chelsea believe that Liverpool have overstepped the mark trying to convince Levi Colwill to the club and they may report their rivals to the FA.
Reportedly the London club are extremely angered by how Brighton and Liverpool have acted with their sheer persistence to try to sign the young centre-back even though Chelsea have made it clear that he is not for sale.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has allegedly had a direct phone call with Colwill which has angered Chelsea to the point that they are now close to reporting the club to the FA.
Colwill will be travelling to America for Chelsea’s pre-season tour and he will speak with Mauricio Pochettino before a new contract is inevitably offered to the 20-year-old.
So Chelsea are very calm about the situation as they believe Colwill will sign that contract which will keep him at the club for a long time.
Liverpool though are dead-set on the defender, who spent last season on loan at Brighton, as they look for a left-sided centre-back.
Colwill excelled at the Under 21 European Championships as England went onto win the whole competition showcasing his defensive ability and his expert passing out from the back hence why Liverpool are desperate to bring him to Anfield.
If Chelsea were to sell him Colwill would have to put in a transfer request and Liverpool would have to make a pricey offer to convince the club to give up their academy star.
