Liverpool right-back Anderson Arroyo has joined FC Andorra on a season-long loan for the 2023-24 campaign.

The 23-year-old makes a return to Spain following previous loan spells with Real Mallorca, Salamanca CF, Mirandes, and Deportivo Alaves. He featured for the latter last season – making 22 appearances in all competitions.

Arroyo was one of the standout players for Alaves, starting nine Segunda Division matches as he helped the club finish 4th in the table, earning a spot in the promotion playoffs and returning to La Liga after securing two-legged wins over Eibar and Levante.

“Liverpool defender Anderson Arroyo has completed a loan move to FC Andorra for 2023-24,” a club statement reads.

“The 23-year-old returns to play in the Spanish Segunda Division having gained experience in the second tier with Mirandes and then Alaves in the previous two seasons.

The Colombia youth international joined Liverpool in 2018 and penned a contract extension last summer before linking up with Alaves, however, he is yet to play a single game for the Reds at youth or senior level.

Arroyo becomes the latest Reds player to leave on loan this summer after Fabio Carvalho, Calvin Ramsay, Sepp van den Berg, Harvey Davies, and Owen Beck.
