Manchester United are possibly looking for a new centre-back should Harry Maguire leave the club, and Benjamin Pavard is a player they have shown some interest in. Erik ten Hag likes versatile defenders, and Pavard can play both centre-back and right-back.

The Red’s are not alone in their interest with Liverpool also liking the player as well as Manchester City. Pavard is looking to leave Bayern this summer, and has informed Thomas Tuchel of his desire.

United will only look to sign a defender in the event Harry Maguire leaves the club.

As reported by Phillip Kessler, Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in signing Benjamin Pavard this summer. The Frenchman would be an ideal candidate at centre-back for United.

United are not seeking out the sale of Harry Maguire but will listen to offers for the player if they come. The Red’s are looking for around £40million to sell Maguire.

Axel Disasi is someone the club have looked at alongside Jean-Clair Todibo. Pavard is another player from the French market they have looked at, but they’re yet to make a move for any player as of yet.

Manchester City are looking at Pavard and may hold an advantage in the race due to the fact Kyle Walker could be joining Bayern. Pep Guardiola is a fan of the player. Bayern would look for around €30million to sell the player.

The interest is just exploration for the moment, but keep an eye on Pavard in the event of Harry Maguire leaving the club.
