Manchester United’s bid for Rasmus Hojlund is incoming, and Atalanta are preparing for the possibility of letting him go. The Italian want a fair fee for Hojlund, but they also want a quick resolution to sign a replacement.
The market for centre-forwards is not over populated with pure talent at the minute but if anyone can find a gem it’s Atalanta. They spotted Hojlund at Strum Graz a year ago and they must now try and find someone else like him now
Reports from Italy are suggesting they already have.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Atalanta have identified a replacement for Rasmus Hojlund in the shape of El-Bilal Toure. Bilal Toure is a Malian footballer, who plays his football for UD Almeria in Spain.
Manchester United are anticipated to bid €60million plus add-ons for Hojlund in the coming days. Atalanta want €70million, despite their manager Gian Piero Gasperini demanding the club get €80-100million today.
Atalanta are now aware they could lose Hojlund, and Bilal Toure is someone they’ve identified to replace him. The Almeria striker scored 7 goals in 25 games last season, he also has 5 goals in 15 games for Mali’s National team.
United’s bid is likely to come by the end of the week or the beginning of next. The club announced the signing of Andre Onana today but they remain aware of how important a number nine is. Hojlund is the main target.
All the dominos seem to be falling into place for United, now it’s about whether they can reach an agreement with Atalanta.
