Jordan Henderson has finally fully agreed all personal terms with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq ahead of his medical which will take place today.

The 33-year-old will be putting an end to his 12-year stint at Liverpool and will join up with his former captain Steven Gerrard who is the manager of Al-Ettifaq.

Liverpool will be looking for replacements in the transfer window after the deal to sell Henderson dragged on.

Al-Ettifaq initially did not want to pay any fee for Henderson when talks began but Liverpool demanded something for their skipper so a fee of £12 million was agreed.

Jordan Henderson will have his medical today after reviewing his contract offer from Al-Ettifaq and accepting all the terms.

The midfielder will then join up with his new teammates in Croatia after the official announcement.

Liverpool will also be losing another midfielder to the Saudi Pro League as Fabinho is close to joining up with his old boss Nuno Espirito Santo at Al-Ittihad.

This led to Trent Alexander-Arnold starting in the defensive midfield role in Liverpool’s first friendly however a new signing would mean he would go back to the inverted full-back role.

Romeo Lavia has been persistently linked with a move to Liverpool but with Fabinho also leaving the club may want someone with a bit more experience as well as Lavia.

They have seemingly already been priced out of a move for Crystal Palace’s Cheick Doucoure who have valued him at £70 million.
