Daniel Levy has been informed by Joe Lewis that if Harry Kane does not sign a new deal this summer, then he must be sold by the club. Kane is entering into the final year of his contract.
Harry Kane was United’s primary target this summer before they moved onto Rasmus Hojlund, but plans changed when they were told the price tag by Daniel Levy.
Spurs are now deep into the summer window and Harry Kane has shown no signs he wants to sign a new deal.
Levy Could Be Forced To Sell Kane:
As reported by James Ducker, Daniel Levy has been informed by Joe Lewis that he has to sell Harry Kane if he does not want to renew his contract.
Spurs run the risk of losing out on £80million if they allow Kane to run out his contract next summer. United would pay that fee for Kane, but they will have to know soon if he’s available due to their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund.
Kane is Erik ten Hag’s marquee target this summer but Daniel Levy’s price tag of £120million at the beginning of the window forced United to look elsewhere. That may now change, with Kane no closer to signing a new deal.
Joe Lewis is the majority owner of Tottenham Hotspur football club, and he feels if Kane will not sign a new deal, the only option for the club is to cash in now.
Bayern Munich are also interested in Kane and feel they have a big chance of signing him. PSG have also recently joined the race. Could this new news awaken Manchester United’s pursuit of Harry Kane.
