Liverpool are close to confirming the departure of captain Jordan Henderson after he underwent his medical in Manchester on Friday.
The deal looked like it may not even take place at one point but Liverpool and Al-Ettifaq agreed on a £12 million fee for Henderson.
After 12 years at the club the 33-year-old was told by manager Jurgen Klopp that his playtime will decrease in this upcoming campaign.
He will be reunited with his former teammate and captain Steven Gerrard however that may not be the only reunion on the cards.
Reportedly Al-Ettifaq have put in a massive offer for current AC Milan striker Divock Origi with the Belgium international not in Stefano Pioli’s plans for the new campaign.
Origi has not been included in AC Milan’s pre-season tour squad after a poor first season at the club and they would like to sell the striker.
Last season he played 36 games in all competitions and only managed to score two goals so he was a underwhelming acquisition after being a legend for Liverpool in their 2019 Champions League triumph.
English clubs are also interested in signing him with Crystal Palace and West Ham debating whether to make a formal offer for the 28-year-old.
