Dean Henderson is closing in on a move to Nottingham Forest from Manchester United, but it is looking likely to be a loan with obligation.
United are ready to part ways with Henderson as it is the right time for all parties, but may not get permanent money for him this season.
The Red’s are looking to sign a back-up goalkeeper, with Zion Suzuki still a target.
Dean Henderson To Forest Likely A Loan:
As reported by John Percy of the Telegraph, Dean Henderson’s move to Nottingham Forest will likely be a loan with obligation to buy.
United would get the funds next summer but the failure to achieve that in this window could hurt them. It is not an ideal selling scenario for the Red’s.
Henderson is not content with being second string at United this season. Andre Onana will be the club’s number one for the season, and a move back to Nottingham Forest is now almost certain for Henderson.
The obligation fee is expected to be around £20million. United have already made £15million from the sale of Anthony Elanga to Forest this past week, so the sale of Henderson can bring that total to £35million.
A deal is likely to be agreed in the coming days between Manchester United and Nottingham Forest for Dean Henderson.
