The Brazilian’s proposed Saudi Arabia transfer from the Reds is back on after a delay in the process. He missed the Red’s pre-season camp in Germany after a £40m bid from the Saudi Pro League side was received.

Talks are continuing, with Al Ittihad keen on signing the defensive midfielder. It is believed that Jurgen Klopp’s side will allow the 29-year-old to complete the move to Al Ittihad as the German continues to revamp his midfield this summer.

Fabinho, who has three years left on his current contract has racked up 219 appearances, scored 11 goals, and provided 10 assists across all competitions for Liverpool. Last season, he was ever-present for the Merseysiders despite an underwhelming campaign.

The former AS Monaco ace featured in 49 games and recorded two assists in all competitions as they finished 5th in the Premier League table – sealing qualification to next season’s UEFA Europa League.

He has played a crucial role in helping Liverpool win several titles including the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, and FA Cup.

This is Anfield claims that Fabinho will be left behind to finalise his deal while the rest of his teammates travel to Asia for the second leg of their pre-season preparations.

Liverpool will face Leicester City and Bayern Munich in friendlies during their stay in the Far East.

The Reds have been active in the transfer market so far by bringing in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai but they want to make further midfield reinforcements following the imminent exit of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

The Merseysiders have been linked with a move for several midfielders including Crystal Palace’s Cheick Doucoure, Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch, and Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips.

Liverpool have tabled a second bid worth £45m including bonuses for the signing of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.

Southampton turned down Liverpool’s first offer worth £34m plus £4m in add-ons as the newly relegated side wants £50m for the 19-year-old.

Talks are still ongoing between Liverpool and Southampton over the final structure of the deal including achievable bonuses. Russell Martin’s side are keen on getting the deal done so they could focus on replacing the highly-rated midfielder.

It is believed that the Merseysiders have agreed personal terms with Lavia and once the Saints agree on the deal, he will undergo his medical and join Jurgen Klopp’s squad for their pre-season tour.
