Chelsea are going to make an attempt to try and sign Liverpool target Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
Liverpool have made Lavia a priority target this summer as they look to rebuild their midfield.
Lavia, at just 19-years-old, is viewed as a fantastic talent and someone who can go onto be world class hence why the Reds want him in their squad.
They have been in negotiations with Southampton for a couple of days after their first offer got rejected however they now have strong competition from rivals Chelsea.
Reportedly the London side are ready to make an offer the Belgium after another bid got rejected for Moises Caicedo.
This time Chelsea upped their amount to £80 million however Brighton yet again quickly rejected the offer as they are holding out for triple figures.
The bad news for Liverpool is that Chelsea are willing to offer more for his services however Lavia is supposedly sold on a move to Anfield.
So at the moment as it stands a move to Merseyside is more likely for Lavia but Chelsea will still try to hijack the deal hence why Liverpool are moving quickly.
