Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the signing of Jean-Clair Todibo from OGC Nice, claims a new report from France. The defender has emerged as a top target for Erik Ten Hag in the centre back position.

A new report in France states that is now just a matter of time before the deal is done. It’s reported that Erik Ten Hag is pushing for the signing to ‘replace Harry Maguire’.

This follows a report yesterday that stated Ten Hag is content with keeping Maguire at Old Trafford. The England international seems to be running out of opportunities at Old Trafford.

According to a new report from French newspaper Nacional, Todibo’s move to United is a ‘matter of time’. The full report from the French outlet states;

“It is ‘a matter of moments’ before Todibo completes a move to Manchester United after Ten Hag ‘requested the arrival of the footballer’ in an effort ‘to replace Harry Maguire’.”

The validity of the report is unknown. The 23 year old is a talented centre back and would be a great signing for Ten Hag.

Formerly of Barcelona, Todbio has been impressing in Ligue 1. Many United fans discussing centre back options on social media would like to see the OGC Nice Man make the switch.
