Tottenham have rejected Bayern Munich’s latest proposal for the transfer of Harry Kane.
That’s according to the reliable David Ornstein who claims Spurs chiefs have turned down the latest offer after the two clubs had met last week.
The future of the England captain has been the subject of speculation since the transfer window opened with Bayern emerging as surprise candidates for his signature.
Kane has just one year left on his contract so could leave on a free transfer next summer.
Ornstein reports in The Athletic that this is the third offer made by Bayern that has been rejected and the hierarchy at the Bundesliga giants will discuss transfer updates at a meeting on Monday.
Kane scored four times on Sunday as Ange Postecoglou’s team beat Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1.
The Lilywhites kick off their Premier League campaign on Sunday with a tricky-looking fixture away to Brentford.
