Liverpool have now outbid Chelsea for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. This is likely to be the reason Chelsea bid for Romeo Lavia last night.
The interest in Caicedo from Liverpool has been there for months, and the club are said to have finally made their move for the Brighton player.
Chelsea are yet to respond to Liverpool’s improved bid.
As reported by Matt Law, Liverpool have outbid Chelsea for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. The player however is said to prefer Chelsea at this stage.
Brighton would sell Caicedo for a fair fee but no club has reached that yet. Chelsea have been trying to Caicedo all summer, but haven’t came close to signing him as of yet.
Liverpool seem to have turned their attention to Caicedo after several failed bids for Lavia. It’s unknown if Liverpool remain interested in Lavia, or whether it’s just Caicedo they want now.
Chelsea’s bid for Lavia last night is said to be as a result of Liverpool bidding higher than them for Caicedo.
No response from Chelsea yet, but Liverpool’s bid is said to be in and it’s said to be legitimate.
