Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones this summer.

The Eagles are going into the 2023/24 campaign with former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson at the helm after he kept them up last season.

They don’t know whether to pursue a loan or permanent deal for the 22-year-old scouser but they believe there is a chance Jones will join.

That is because they can promise him a regular starting spot in their side so they think that can convince him.

LFCTR Verdict

This is arguably one of the silliest rumours of the summer as Liverpool highly rate Jones and he is very much at the forefront of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the new campaign.

In the run-in he was arguably one of the best players for Liverpool and he will be hoping he can nail down a starting spot this campaign.

The Reds have already lost several midfielders this summer and are still in the market for more players so if they were to consider selling Jones it would be one of the most bizarre decisions over the last few years.

As well as all that Crystal Palace would not be able to afford a price that Liverpool give Jones but realistically they wouldn’t even give them a price as their first answer would be he is not for sale.

There is a high chance that Jones starts against Chelsea on Sunday further emphasising how important he could be this season for Jurgen Klopp.
