Chelsea have now officially launched their £115million bid to Brighton for Moises Caicedo. Liverpool’s initial £110million bid has been trumped. The two clubs remain in contact as we speak.

Moises Caicedo made it clear at lunchtime yesterday that his preference was Chelsea over Liverpool. Since then the Blue’s have worked on a completing a deal, and are now in touching distance of doing so.

A deal could now be agreed before kick-off tomorrow against Liverpool, as the two clubs continue to speak late into the night.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have now launched a bid of more than £110million for Moises Caicedo. Liverpool are unlikely to bid again to match it.

Brighton allowed more bids despite setting a deadline for Caicedo. Chelsea felt confident due to the player’s preference, and have followed through with their bid. The two clubs are now working to come to an agreement.

The bid is a British record, beating Chelsea’s own record for Enzo Fernandez. Caicedo could be unveiled before kick-off tomorrow against Liverpool.

The Red’s will feel hard done by after agreeing a deal for Caicedo with Brighton. The player made his feelings clear, and is now expected to join Chelsea.
