Chelsea have just agreed a deal to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton for a club record £115million, and they may be about to sign Romeo Lavia too.
Liverpool and Chelsea have been locked in a battle to sign Lavia over the last few days, and the latest reports are suggesting Chelsea will win the race.
Chelsea could be about to pull off to ultimate double hijack.
Romeo Lavia To Chelsea:
As reported by Sami Mokbel, Liverpool target Romeo Lavia is set to join Chelsea from Southampton. Chelsea look set to win the race.
The fee is expected to be around £55million. Chelsea have already closed a deal for Caicedo, and they are now the favourites to get a deal for Lavia done.
Liverpool had three failed bids for Romeo Lavia before Chelsea re-entered the race last week. Chelsea had their own bid rejected, but didn’t give up.
The Belgian is open to a move to both Liverpool and Chelsea. Southampton manager Russel Martin stated a deal was close yesterday, and that now looks to be the case.
