Manchester United are interested in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verrati, according to a report.
The club have already made one midfield signing this summer but have been rumoured to be in for one more.
Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat was the one who looked most likely to be added to the squad but as the weeks go on, it looks less and less likely as the reports slow down and the transfer window comes to a close.
The first two games of the season have shown United fans that the team is still in need of reinforcements if they are to achieve their goals and it could be that Verrati is that player.
The 30-year-old is said to be “Surplus to requirements” at PSG and for sale, with Bayern Munich and Manchester United two who have shown their interest so far, with a transfer around the 60m Euro mark possible.
The report from Lequipe (Via GFFN) says that the Italian has agreed personal terms with Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli, but no fee has been agreed between the clubs and a move to Old Trafford cannot be ruled out.
Verrati was left out of the matchday squad to face Toulouse on Saturday. He made 416 appearances for the French club across domestic and European competitions.
