Manchester United defender Raphael Varane is considering a transfer to Saudi Arabia, according to a report.
The Saudi Pro League has skyrocketed in both quality and popularity since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo to Al Nassr in January.
Many more top footballers such as Neymar, Fabinho, Ruben Neves and more have joined the superstar to play in the middle eastern country and it seems like there will be more before the end of the summer transfer window.
Varane could be one of them if a report by Saudi Arabia-based journalist Nawaf Oga (Via United District) is to be believed.
The Frenchman has started both games so far for the Red Devils this season and has looked like one of the better players in the process (Not to mention his previous successes), so it would be a blow for the club if it is true and they can’t find a top replacement.
The report states that the 30-year-old has given “positive indications” about joining Karim Benzema and N’golo Kante at Al Ittihad.
Varane has played 65 games for United in all competitions so far, scoring two goals and making one assist in the process.
