Manchester United scouts are said to ‘love’ young Benfica centre back Antonio Silva, according to a new report today. The talented Portuguese defender would be a huge signing.
Silva has been making a name for himself at Benfica in recent seasons due to his top performances. The centre back is considered as a major talent for years to come.
United have been briefly mentioned in the past as a club with some sort of interest in the player. The Red Devils need to sign a younger centre back to not fall behind in that market.
Manchester United Scouts ‘Love’ Antonio Silva
According to a new report published today by Graeme Bailey and Scott Saunders of 90min, United’s scouts love the player. This news comes as Saudi interest in Raphael Varane has stepped up.
If United were to part ways with Varane for around £50million, a deal could come to the table for Silva. However, in that instance you get rid of an experienced, winning and world class centre back for a younger talent.
Silva is likely to cost around £60-70million given his talent and potential in the future.
