Al Ittihad are now fully interested in signing Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah. The interest is concrete, but there is no assurance a deal will happen as of yet. Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas already shut down rumours last week, but the rumours are yet to go away. The Saudi side are planning an attempt to convince the Egyptian to sign for them.
Salah signed a new contract for Liverpool last year, and the club are unlikely to be willing to part ways with their star player.
It would take a substantial fee from Al Ittihad to even make Liverpool consider selling Salah.
As reported by David Ornstein, Al Ittihad have concrete interest in signing Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah. They are planning a new attempt to sign the Egyptian.
Salah is currently on £350,000-a week at Liverpool, but the wages that Al Ittihad will offer him would be a lot higher. He is expected to be promised similar wages to that of Cristiano Ronaldo.
There is no assurances a deal will happen at this stage. Liverpool may be more open to selling Salah next summer given his age. It is unlikely they would sanction a move so late in the window.
Salah has been the best player in the Premier League over the last couple of seasons, and it would be a blow for the Premier League to lose a star to the Saudi League. The Premier League’s loss however, would only further strengthen the growth of the Saudi League.
Al Ittihad planning to try for Salah again, but no promises a deal will happen.
