Manchester United do not have the funds to sign Jean-Clair Todibo unless they sell Harry Maguire, but the player is still making no secret of his desire to join the club. The OGC Nice defender is said to be unsettled at the French side at the minute due to the interest from United.

It is unlikely United will make a move for Todibo unless Harry Maguire leaves the club in the coming days. Interest in the defender would have to be new, as West Ham have already signed Konstantinos Mavropanos.

Nice would look for around £35million for Todibo.

As reported by Nice Matin, Jean-Clair Todibo is unsettled at Nice due to interest from Manchester United. United have scouted the defender this summer.

The Red’s have not got the funds currently to make a move for Todibo due to FFP. Players would have to be sold, and they are no closer to selling anyone as of yet.

Midfield remains the priority for United, with Sofyan Amrabat waiting for a bid from the club. Donny Van De Beek has to be sold or loaned before the Red’s can sign Amrabat.

Erik ten Hag is being left with a mountain to climb given the lack of signings an injuries this summer. Todibo would be a huge boost, but it’s now very unlikely he signs.

The Glazer family could solve a lot of issues by selling the club.
