Liverpool are still very much in the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this summer according to a report.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Reds all summer with Jurgen Klopp and his coaching team rumoured to be big admirers of the player.

Recently however, Manchester United appear to have entered the race to sign the Dutch international and could be helped by the Bundesliga club’s apparent interest in Scott McTominay.

Liverpool are continuing their search to add further reinforcements to Klopp’s midfield rebuild and hope to have at least one more player through the door before the transfer window closes on Friday.

According to Tobi Altschäffl, they are still ‘a big candidate’ in the race to sign the former Ajax midfielder with the chief reporter for BILD claiming that a transfer or loan is possible.

It promises to be an interesting few days ahead with the Anfield hierarchy under pressure to get more deals over the line and add to the signings of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Wataru Endo.
