West Ham United have made a decision on Manchester United star Harry Maguire, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils are still looking to rake in at least one more signing before the end of the transfer window but as the deadline day looms, it looks more and more like they might need to make a significant sale before they spend more money.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson looks set to join Crystal Palace and Maguire is another that looked likely to leave earlier in the window. The defender was removed as the club captain and replaced by Bruno Fernandes.

He is now seemingly the fourth choice in the center of defence and if a good bid came in for him, it would seem logical that United would accept it.

Rumours said that West Ham had made such a bid in the region of £30million. However, there were complications regarding the payoff that the England international would receive.

Famous journalist Fabrizio Romano has helped put an end to that transfer saga, saying that The Hammers have decided to leave the race to sign Maguire. Allegedly, they tried again to sign him after the initial complications but could not get the green light from United.

According to the report, he is no longer on West Ham’s list.

United could still sign a defender with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia injured at left-back. The most recent link has been to Leonardo Spinazzola, which you can read about here.

When United play Arsenal on Sunday, their transfer business will be done for this summer.
