Manchester United target Benjamin Pavard will now join Inter Milan, according to famous journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils are still looking to make new signings as the transfer window comes to a close and a defender looks high on the list.

The 27-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but the rumours have slowed down more recently.

Harry Maguire had looked likely to join fellow Premier League side West Ham earlier in the transfer window but it now looks more likely that he will stay.

The Hammers have pulled out of the deal after facing complications, according to reports (The full story can be read here) and that has made the signing of a center back look far less likely.

If United fans hadn’t already lost all hope for the signing, football reporter Romano has now given his famous “Here we go” on Pavard’s move to Inter Milan from German Champions Bayern Munich.

His report says that a deal worth 30million Euros with two million in add-ons has been reached and the defender could even have travelled to Milan by Wednesday.

United do have some hope of signing a defender with an injury crisis at left-back forcing Erik Ten Hag’s hand in the transfer market.

Most recently, the club have been linked to left-backs Leonardo Spinazzola and Nicolas Tagliafico. You can read about those stories here and here, respectively.
