According to respected journalist Christian Falk, Liverpool are poised to make a substantial bid of £26m (€30m) in an attempt to secure the signature of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this summer.
This potential transfer development has garnered significant attention within both football circles and among enthusiasts.
Falk asserts that Gravenberch is keen on a move to Anfield before the approaching Friday deadline, and Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, views him as a fitting addition to his new tactical framework.
At the age of 21, Gravenberch has already demonstrated exceptional talent on the field, drawing admiration for his abilities such as vision and skill. However, his current status at Bayern Munich places him as the fourth-choice central midfielder, trailing behind players like Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, and Konrad Laimer.
Since his move from Ajax to the Allianz Arena last summer, Gravenberch has faced challenges in securing consistent playing time. In the previous season, he was granted the opportunity to start in merely three games, with the remainder of his appearances occurring as a substitute.
Throughout various competitions, Gravenberch managed to accumulate a total of 33 appearances and contributed to two goals. Despite these contributions, his playing time for the ongoing season remains uncertain. He recently appeared as a substitute against Augsburg, signaling that he may not be guaranteed more significant involvement on the field.
Gravenberch’s versatility on the field has garnered interest from Manchester United as well. Nevertheless, his aspirations appear to align with Liverpool, and the upcoming hours hold substantial importance as negotiations between Bayern and Liverpool continue to unfold.
