Manchester United play Arsenal at The Emirates Stadium on Sunday, in the first Premier League game after the closure of the transfer window.

The lineup will be an even more interesting choice than usual with the current injury issues plaguing United’s team.

Diogo Dalot filled in at left-back last time out after it became clear both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia would be sidelined for an extended period of time. It looks as though Spurs’ Sergio Reguilon will sign for the club on loan but whether or not he will make it in time for the game is unknown.

Raphael Varane was subbed off at half-time in the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest last weekend and will be out for a few more weeks.

Victor Lindelof was brought on ahead of Harry Maguire to replace him so it seems a logical prediction to say that will happen again, with Maguire remaining on the bench and the Sweden international getting his first start of the season.

Anthony Martial made his first start since the previous campaign in that game but was subbed after an hour following an underwhelming performance. However, the Frenchman is lacking sharpness and returning from a long-term injury, so it could be that he gets the nod again with that in mind.

There are other dilemmas with Jadon Sancho and even Scott Mctominay potentially knocking on the door, but so far Erik Ten Hag has been determined to mostly stick to certain preferred players in the league.

With all of that in mind, here is the lineup we’ll probably see:

Andre Onana; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka; Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes; Marcus Rashford, Antony, Anthony Martial.
