Manchester United are now prioritizing a new contract for winger Facundo Pellistri. This comes after the growing situations with Jadon Sancho and Antony. Pellistri is expected to be given first-team opportunities in the coming weeks.
The Uruguayan international has yet to get a consistent run of games in a red shirt. Erik ten Hag is now likely to turn to Pellistri for the upcoming games, starting against Brighton on Saturday.
Jadon Sancho and Antony’s return to the line-up is not known at the moment.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are targeting a new contract for Facundo Pellistri. The club have made it a priority.
Pellistri was set to go on loan this summer but the club changed their mind. He is not set to fight for his place at right wing.
Due to the situation surrounding the allegations against Antony and the manager falling out with Jadon Sancho, Pellistri is the club’s only right winger. Amad can also play there but he remains out through injury.
United are not in for Anwar El Ghazi despite recent reports. The club are happy with Pellistri. Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes can also play out wide if needed.
