Manchester United and their recruitment team have famously neglected the South American market in recent years, but they may be about to change that. The club have a keen eye on Flamengo midfielder Lorran.

United, as with every top wonderkid, are not alone in their interest. Chelsea have taken a keen eye on the South American market in recent months and they are also following the progress of the midfielder.

Lorran has a £43million release clause in his contract.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are eyeing Brazilian midfielder Lorran. The Flamengo midfielder has caught the eye of the English club.

Chelsea have signed a number of players from the South American market, including Kendry Paez, but United are looking to beat them to the signing of Lorran.

Scouts from both clubs have been sent to watch the player, who plays for Flamengo under 20’s. Lorran operates best as an attacking midfielder or a second striker.

The Brazilian has 6 goals in 13 games at professional level so far in his career. United are yet to make a formal offer, but are paying close attention to the progress of the player. Lorran recently signed to Jay-Z’s agency Roc Nation.

One to watch going forward for Manchester United.
