Manchester United are a club in disarray, and it seems like every bit of news about them at the moment is negative. The 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray put the club further into the spotlight, and there is no sign of an end to the pain for fans.

There is however, a small positive to mention this morning. United have been without prodigious academy talent Kobbie Mainoo since the middle of pre-season, but he is nearing a return. Mainoo injured his ankle against Real Madrid in July.

United are boosted by his return to team training. There is a possibility he can be back after the international break.

Elsewhere, Andre Onana is reluctant to go on international duty with Cameroon. The former Inter goalkeeper has had a rough start to life at United, and doesn’t feel comfortable going to international duty during this tough period.

The manager Erik ten Hag is expected to play Onana through this poor run of form. It’s obvious the goalkeeper is better than he’s currently showing, and is just experiencing some teething problems at United.

Sergio Reguilon is also nearing a return. The Spanish loanee suffered a hamstring injury against Burnley. He will face a fitness test before Saturday’s clash with Brentford.

Manchester United remain fully behind Erik ten Hag, but results have to change. The club believe he is the right man, but the Glazer’s will act if their money is affected in any way.

A tough period for United, but they need to stick together to come out the other side.
