The future of Manchester United is expected to look a bit more clear by the end of 2023, according to Ben Jacobs. The club has been in hiatus in regards to a sale for closing in on a year, but a solution is likely soon.

United fans are eager for the club to be sold. The Glazer family have overstayed their welcome at the club, and have rotted it to it’s very core. The fans feel it’s time for change, but the Glazer’s are hanging on with everything they’ve got.

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain in the lead to win the race for the club.

The feeling now is that by late November there will be clarity surrounding the takeover situation. The Glazer’s announced they were exploring a possible sale last November. Two offers of over £5billion are currently on the table from Sheikh Jassim and Jim Ratcliffe.

Sheikh Jassim has been felt to be in the lead for some time, but other sources feel Jim Ratcliffe remains in the race. Ratcliffe and INEOS have proposed a possible bid for minority instead of majority, which would not go down well with fans.

The Glazer’s have been in charge since 2005. Over £1.5billion worth of debt has been taken from the club in that time, and the stadium is now decaying before the eyes of the fans. Nearly 20 years of a reign of terror is something the fans want to see stopped.

One thing is for sure, clarity is needed for all. Fans and even players and staff need to know, and the feeling now is that we’re nearing that moment. United need to move forward, one way or another.
