Mr Joe Bradley passed away aged 58 on Saturday morning.

A club statement reads: “Liverpool FC is deeply saddened by the death of Conor Bradley’s father, Joe, today.

“The thoughts of everybody at the club are with Conor and all of the Bradley family at this very difficult and sad time.

“On behalf of Conor, LFC strongly urges that the family’s privacy is fully respected at this time.”

The Northern Ireland international scored his Premier League goal against the Blues, exhibiting remarkable skill as he sprinted down the right flank and executed a superb finish into the bottom corner.

Additionally, Conor Bradley had played a pivotal role in the build-up to Diogo Jota’s opening goal, and his well-placed cross resulted in Dominik Szoboszlai heading home late in the match.

The highly-rated youngster, who comes from Aghyaran in west Tyrone is the first Northern Ireland-born player in 70 years to score for Liverpool in England’s top flight.

Jurgen Klopp hailed the new Anfield hero as a ‘wonderful kid’ after he scored his first goal for the club at Anfield in mid-week.

“What a wonderful kid he is,” said the German boss.

“Outstanding finish, the whole game, the contribution, the involvement. It’s a job to play against (Raheem) Sterling, that’s not easy. I’m really happy for him. He’s a very serious young man and that was pretty special I have to say.

“We saw in the pre-season. He is really doing well. A few weeks ago when I was on holiday a few Bolton fans asked if they could have Bradley back but it’s too late!

“For us it’s important because we could not have put this string of results together without these kids.”
