Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have expressed interest in signing Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah this summer, according to The Athletic.

The online news portal claims it’s unclear if a deal for Salah will materialise.

The 31-year-old’s agent disclosed a few weeks ago that the Egyptian is committed to Liverpool amid speculation about a potential big-money move to Saudi Arabia.

“Mohamed remains committed to LFC,” said Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas in a social media post.

“If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer.”

Salah penned a new three-year deal last summer which runs until June 2025.

Liverpool have already sold midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Al-Ittihad and El-Ettifaq respectively this summer, while Roberto Firmino joined Al-Ahli after the expiration of his contract at Anfield.

Salah has netted 187 goals in 305 games since joining from AS Roma in 2017 and is currently fifth on Liverpool’s all-time scoring charts, surpassing club legend Steven Gerrard after scoring against Bournemouth last weekend.

He has won several trophies during his time at Anfield including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Fifa Club World Cup, and Uefa Super Cup.

The Egypt international has also won or shared three Premier League Golden Boots and been named the PFA Player of the Year twice.

Al Ittihad have also signed Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, and Celtic winger Jota this summer.
