Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr are in negotiations with Bayern Munich for the signing of ex-Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, according to transfer expert Nicolo Schira.
Al Nassr are offering the 31-year-old a three-year contract with a salary of £22m (€25m) a year. Mane is reportedly not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans and could leave in the summer.
The Senegal international endured a difficult time in Germany following his switch from Anfield last summer on a three-year contract in a deal worth around £35m.
Mane, who is one of the club’s top earners scored 12 times and recorded six assists in 38 games across all competitions as The Bavarians beat Borussia Dortmund to the Bundesliga title on a dramatic final day.
His bust-up with club teammate Leroy Sane during their Champions League defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium was one of the low points of the Senegalese career in Germany so far.
Speaking to the media recently, Tuchel hinted that Mane could leave the club before the summer transfer window closes.
“He (Mane) fell short of expectations,” the former Chelsea and PSG manager said according to Sport1.
“The competitive situation is extremely high, the starting position is not easy for him.
“The player knows that too, he knows my opinion and the opinion of the club.”
“We’ve a constellation that makes it very difficult for Sadio. The player knows that too. Mané has a contract and wants to stay. And we respect that.
“But it’s only the first day of training and a lot of things can happen in football.”
