The Reds have had an offer worth £26m (€30m) for the 22-year-old dismissed by Fluminese who are reluctant to let the Brazil international leave before the end of their season.

Fluminense’s board is believed to have informed Liverpool that even if they make an improved offer for André they would not allow to player to depart now.

Andre has three years left on his remaining contract with Fluminense and is a key player for coach Fernando Diniz.

He has racked up 40 appearances this season and has helped the club reach the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores where they will face Paraguayan side Olimpia in a two-legged tie.

“It’s normal for proposals to arrive. Even more so with the team doing well, passing the stage in the Libertadores, at the top of the Brasileirão,” Andre said via Ge. Globo

“Not only for me, but it must have reached others too. I’m happy for the offers that arrive, but my head today is focused 100% on the Flu.”
