According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are open to selling Germany international Joshua Kimmich this summer.
However, they will only entertain offers if a “suitable offer” is presented by another club.
The Reds are preparing for a significant period of change at Anfield that extends beyond the transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp’s impending departure from the club at the end of the season necessitates the Reds to appoint a new manager in the coming months.
On the field, discussions surrounding potential new signings have somewhat subsided following the announcement of Klopp’s departure.
However, as the summer transfer window approaches, reports are beginning to circulate regarding potential targets.
Liverpool are credited as one of five clubs that could potentially be a destination for Kimmich.
Alongside Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are also listed as potential options for Kimmich this summer.
Two clubs, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have already been ruled out of the race to sign the midfielder at the end of the season.
According to the report, Kimmich himself is not ruling out a move away from the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.
It’s also been suggested that some of the aforementioned five clubs have already initiated contact with Kimmich regarding a potential move, although the specific clubs have not been disclosed.
Kimmich’s current contract with Bayern is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
With no indication of an extension being agreed upon between the club and the player, speculation has intensified that Kimmich, who is adept at playing both at right-back and in midfield, could join a new club in the summer.
