Bayern Munich are prepared to offload former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane this summer, according to Kicker.
The German publication claims that Mane has been told by club officials that he is not in their plans for the upcoming season which kicks off next month.
The 31-year-old has endured a difficult time in Germany following his switch from Anfield last summer on a three-year contract in a deal worth around £35m.
Jurgen Klopp’s side rejected two bids from Bayern before agreeing a fee for the Senegal international – who scored 120 goals in 269 games, finishing the 2021/22 season with 23 goals in all competitions.
Mane helped Liverpool win the Champions League, Premier League, Super Cup, Club World Cup, Carabao Cup, and the Emirates FA Cup. He also netted the winning penalty as Senegal won the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 2021.
During his time at Bayern, he netted 12 goals and recorded six assists in 38 games across all competitions as The Bavarians beat Borussia Dortmund to the Bundesliga title on a dramatic final day.
Mane, who is one of the club’s top earners is set to be shipped out after just one season at the club with Saudi Arabia an option. It is believed that a club from the Arab country could match both Mane’s wages and Bayern’s asking price.
His bust-up with club teammate Leroy Sane during their Champions League defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium was one of the low points of the Senegalese career in Germany.
He has been linked with a move to several clubs but a decision is yet to be made with Newcastle United and Chelsea keen on signing him.
