Discussions surrounding the takeover of Manchester United football club remain ongoing. The process has not paused despite some reports.
Negotiations are currently happening with a number of parties regarding the takeover. Delays have taken place but negotiations remain active and there is no signs of the takeover talks stopping.
The Glazers announced that they were exploring strategic alternatives in the running of the club in November of 2022.
As reported by Mike Keegan of the Daily Mail, discussions regarding the takeover of Manchester United remain ongoing.
Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain the two leading candidates to take over the club as of now, but negotiations are ongoing with a number of parties.
Bids of around £5billion have been launched by both Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, but there are other parties trying to put minority investment into the club.
Those close to the bid of Sheikh Jassim believe they will win the race as things stand, but Jim Ratcliffe’s proposal allowing the Glazers to retain a stake in the club also cannot be ruled out.
Adidas new kit deal with United of £900million over the next ten years was factored into the takeover bids.
