Chelsea have spent big in the Portuguese League very recently, and they will have to do again to land this target. Ousmane Diomande is being targeted by the London club, but they are far from alone in their interest.
Diomande has rose to prominence in recent months for Sporting, and is the name on top of a lot of team’s wishlist for defensive reinforcements this summer. Manchester United are one of those clubs.
Chelsea and United may be about to battle out for the signing of the Ivorian centre-back, who could cost over £60million.
Ousmane Diomande Wanted By Chelsea & United:
As reported by RECORD in Portugal, Chelsea are interested in the signing of Manchester United target Ousmane Diomande.
Diomande is just 19-years old, but is slowly becoming the most highly rated defender on the planet. His range of passing accompanied by his physical and athletic ability makes him the perfect profile of defender.
United are looking to sign a new centre-back, and could turn to Diomande. He plays on the right side of defence, but he’s not the only target United have identified. Jean-Clair Todibo and Antonio Silva are other players the club are looking at.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to become co-owner of the club, United could spend big in the summer. Diomande is one to watch, but United and Chelsea won’t be alone in their pursuits.
The 19-year old is unlikely to be sold for anything under £70million.
