Eight Liverpool players are set to commence their pre-season programmes today at the AXA Training Centre.
Arne Slot’s squad will kick off preparations for the 2024-25 campaign at their Kirkby base, starting with two groups of four players each.
In the morning session, Stefan Bajcetic, Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah, and Sepp van den Berg will begin their training.
After lunch, Owen Beck, Curtis Jones, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Kostas Tsimikas will join for the afternoon session.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo are set to participate in Liverpool’s full pre-season schedule after Egypt and Japan decided not to call them up for the Olympics.
Both players were discussed as potential over-age selections for their respective national under-23 squads, which will compete in Paris from July 24 to August 10.
Since the Olympics is not sanctioned by FIFA, clubs are not obligated to release players for the tournament.
Following discussions, Mohamed Salah and Endo will remain with Liverpool for their pre-season preparations.
Salah and Endo are expected to join the club’s pre-season tour of America later this month.
Liverpool’s tour begins with a trip to Pittsburgh on July 23, where they will face Real Betis in their first friendly match.
The Reds kick off their new Premier League campaign against newly-promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday, August 17.
